Philosophy

In 2011 Artist Steven Trosti and Choreographer Tovaris Wilson saw the L.I.T.E. They joined forces and decided to create a unique clothing label with a point of difference.

L.I.T.E. is inspired by the art of Dance, it’s an acronym that stands for term: “Life in the Eights”. In Dance every 8 counts is the start of a new phase of movement. L.I.T.E.’s mission is to integrate movement and dance with fashion. As a Choreographer working in the Industry for the past 15 years Tovaris has had a first hand look at how Dance influences Fashion and vice versa. Fashion gives you the power to fully express your vision. Taking influence from all inflections of dance, art, music, pop and street culture, the past, present and the future. L.I.T.E. unites the unexpected through our unique use of patterns, prints, colours, symbols and cuts.

We are a unisex, limited edition label that comprises of a 3-range line: day, nite and stage.

Is fresh with a retro street feel and tight 90’s inspired colour palettes. Its fun, light and relaxed, whether working it in dance class, rehearsal or just something cute to chill in it has got your back. Gets loud and hits the night like glam hop club kid that’s lives the inter-galactic twirl of clubs and soirees. Metallic fabrics and prints dominate here that could bling anyone to life. Is an extension of the character, energy or perceptions of ones desire. Prints and fabrics that portray energy and movement or help one become closer to the emotion or story. There may be a hint of nostalgia or familiarity, maybe even something from a dream. That’s the thing, you never know what you’re going to get when you enter the stage L.I.T.E.
